Health DG: Sarawak records 673 new Covid-19 cases today, 5,812 nationwide

KUCHING (June 25): Sarawak’s daily Covid-19 cases rose to 673 today, an increase of 92 cases compared to the figure yesterday.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who disclosed this on Facebook, said this brought the state’s infections tally to 62,820.

“The country as a whole recorded a total of 5,812 new cases today, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 722,659 cases,” he said.

Selangor topped the list of new infections with 2,187 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur (771), Sarawak, and Negeri Sembilan (658).

Other states and territories that also reported three-digit cases were Penang (270), Melaka (223), Johor (196), Kedah (186), Sabah (156), Pahang (139) and Labuan (123).

Those having recorded two-digit cases were Kelantan (98), Perak (72), Terengganu (46) and Putrajaya (14).

Perlis was the only state with no new infection.
