KUCHING (Aug 22): Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is the right person to be appointed prime minister because he has a clean record , qualifications and seniority as former Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister , said Parti Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB) information chief Datuk Idris Buang.
He commended the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Idris for taking heed of the majority support for Ismail Sabri from Members of Parliament.
“He is suitable to lead the nation’s administration whilst in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also gave confidence to foreign investors with his leadership in implementing strategies and measures to control the pandemic and towards winning the war against Covid-19,” he said in a statement Friday night.
Idris who is also Muara Tuang assemblyman also hoped that Ismail Sabri will consider appointing Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) MPs as Deputy Prime Minister, Senior Minister or Federal Minister, and restore Sarawak rights in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
