Malaysian Examinations Council plans to expand use of e-marking

KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): The Malaysian Examinations Council (MEC) plans to use online marking or e-marking for all Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) subjects in the future.

MEC member Prof Datuk Dr Wahid Razzaly said for a start, it had implemented e-marking on two subjects, namely Syariah and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for STPM 2020 examination.

“Besides that, MEC for the first time has conducted full online examination (e-Testing) for prospective medical specialists through the 2020 Medical Specialist Pre-Entrance Examinations (MedEx),” said Wahid when announcing the 2020 STPM results today.

The e-Testing will be conducted for the Imtihan al-Kafaah Li a-Lughah al-Arabiyyah (IKLA) examination.

“The examination is conducted by MEC on behalf of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM),” he added. – Bernama
