Covid-19: 507 new cases for Sarawak, fourth highest in the country

KUCHING (June 22): Sarawak recorded the fourth highest number of new Covid-19 cases in the country today with 507 cases, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

This brought the state’s cumulative total of Covid-19 cases to 60,989.

In a Facebook post, Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor remained at the top of the table with 1,566 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (635), and Negeri Sembilan (585).

Other states which recorded new cases were Johor (239), Penang (195), Sabah (193), Melaka (167), Kelantan (165), Kedah (142),  Pahang (131), Labuan (104), Perak (68), Terengganu  (37), Putrajaya (seven), and Perlis (two).

In total Malaysia recorded 4,743 cases today, bringing the cumulative total of positive cases to 705,762 cases nationwide.
