This seemed rather random but if you are using the Smart Selangor Parking app for your vehicle, you may want to check out the app right now. As it turns out, the app is giving away free credit to celebrate the arrival of 2021 and part of the state’s COVID-19 program, so to speak.
As revealed through a tweet by the MP of Kinrara, Ng Sze Han who is also the current Chairman of Selangor’s Local Government, Public Transportation and New Village Development Committee, the free RM 5 credit is being distributed on first-come, first-serve basis for the first 10,000 users that redeem it.
However, only users that have spent at least RM 10 within the year 2020 and 2021 are eligible for the free credit. To claim it, all one need to do is click on the New Year 2021 banner inside the app.
RM 5 may seem rather little at first but it is equivalent to around 10 hours of parking time in areas such as Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, and Puchong or around 8 hours for Petaling Jaya. While the free credit is not available for new users, you can download the Smart Selangor Parking app from Google Play and iOS/iPadOS App Store if you want to know more about it.
