Workers’ quarters, rental room among 9 localities in S’wak placed under EMCO

KUCHING (June 7): Two workers’ quarters and one rental room are among nine locations in the state placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19, said thhe Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

In a statement today, SDMC said that two workers’ quarters in Tatau namely Woodman Plantation Sdn Bhd, Semanok Estate and Kem Gabong Trading are placed under EMCO from June 4-17.

Another location in Tatau, Rh. Abong anak Madang @ Medan, which is a longhouse in Nanga Tekalit is also under EMCO for the same period.

The rented room at the shoplot behind MDS Mart Samalaju in Bintulu is placed under EMCO from June 5-18.

The other locations under EMCO are longhouses, namely Rh. Clement Bayang, KM30, Jalan Bintulu-Tatau in Bintulu (June 6-19); Rh. Setinggan Batu 6 in Bintulu (June 6-19); Rh. Bruen Kampung Banting in Sri Aman (June 6-19); Rh. Entu Klampu, Engkelili in Sri Aman (June 7-20); and Rh. Jeffery Mangan, Nanga Entabai in Julau (June 7-23).

SDMC also declared the end of the EMCO for five locations. These are Rh. Aling Kampung Selepong Lop in Sri Aman; Rh. Johnson Kampung Seduku in Sri Aman, Block A, RPR Bandaria Park in Bintulu; workers’ quarters of Harwood Timber Sdn Bhd in Bintulu; and Rh. Sylvester Sg Sian, Bintangor in Meradong.
