CID Miri personnel arrest the suspect at a house in Tudan Phase 6.
MIRI (June 21): Police arrested a 32-year-old man yesterday (June 20) for allegedly hurting his friend.
The suspect was nabbed at a house in Tudan Phase 6 around 4.30pm following a police report lodged by the victim.
The victim alleged that on Friday (June 18) at around 9pm, the suspect had punched and kicked him while he was sitting on his motorcycle.
He also claimed that the suspect had run him over using the same motorcycle, causing injuries to his legs.
Following the incident, the victim was hospitalised at Miri Hospital.
The suspect, who was brought to court today, was ordered to be remanded for four days until June 25 to facilitate the police investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.
