Police with the three arrested suspects at Kampung Lusut.
MIRI (July 6): Three men were arrested yesterday for allegedly breaking into a construction site near Miri Airport and carting away several construction materials.
The suspects in their 30s were nabbed at the roadside in Kampung Lusut at around 2.15pm following a police report lodged by the construction site owner.
The police also seized a car believed to have been used by the suspects in carrying out the theft during the arrest which was made in less than 24 hours after the report was lodged.
It is learnt that the suspects had stolen scaffolding from the construction site.
The suspects were later taken to the Miri Central Police Station.
The case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for trespassing.
