Sunway Property recently introduced their co-living concept at Sunway House Waterfront Residence, catered towards young working adults

According to Sunway Berhad property division managing director Sarena Cheah, there has been a growth in a new segment of home occupiers – young working professionals who prefer to rent and are delaying their property purchase.

For most young executives, buying a home is daunting, especially in this period of economic uncertainty. A lot of people have trouble coming up with the high lump sum required for downpayment.

With this co-living concept, you can enjoy the convenience of a rented room, while turning 25% of your rental into credits for a future home

First of all, you won’t have to worry about furnishing your home. Just move into a comfortable room with all the necessities provided, including WiFi and utilities. Plus, the common and shared areas are cleaned regularly. There’s even a complimentary parcel collection service, as well as 24/7 facilities and maintenance support.

You will also be living in the centre of the well-connected Sunway City, within walking distance to Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Medical Centre, and the BRT.

But the best part is that 25% of your monthly rental will be accumulated for Rent-to-Buy credits, which you can use to purchase a Sunway Property of your choice.

There are three different types of rooms to choose from, depending on your needs and budget:

1. Semi-Private Standard | around RM1,200/month

Encompassing a single bedroom and shared bathroom, living room, and communal kitchen, this is perfect for those looking for comfort on a budget. Each room is designed to house one occupant, but with a top-up fee, you can share the space with a roommate.

2. Private Duplex | around RM1,700/month

If you’re looking for a bit more privacy, this option features a single room complete with an ensuite bathroom, and a shared living room and kitchen.

3. Exclusive Studio | around RM2,800/month

For those preferring a room with both privacy and a little more luxury, you can consider the exclusive studio unit that provides you with a single ensuite room complete with laundry and a kitchenette.

This co-living concept is just one of the many initiatives by Sunway Property to expand its business in 2021

In this year alone, Sunway Property is aiming to launch four new properties in Malaysia, including:

– Sunway Belfied Tower A at Jalan Belfield

– Sunway Artessa at Wangsa Maju

– D’Hill at Sunway Damansara

– Jernih Residence at Kajang

“The majority of our launches will be priced from RM500,000 to RM700,000, with most of them priced less than RM1 million. We also have units at D’Hill and Jernih Residence priced from RM270,000 onwards catered to first-time homebuyers,” shared Sarena in a virtual media session yesterday.

Another recent innovation is the launch of Sunway FutureX Farm, a pilot urban farming project using hydroponic solutions

Sunway Property has collaborated with Sunway iLabs to launch Malaysia’s first smart farm, the Sunway FutureX Farm. The farm is now 100% operational and uses a hydroponic system to grow up to 18 different types of vegetables. There are also plans to implement similar projects in Sunway Penang and Sunway City Iskandar Puteri in Johor.

In the future, you may even have the opportunity to own a plot of the smart farm to grow your own vegetables, and get them delivered to your doorstep.
