Tanjung Manis reverts to Covid-19 yellow zone after recording 15 cases in last two weeks

KUCHING (July 5): Tanjung Manis district has reverted to a Covid-19 yellow zone from a red zone after only 15 local transmissions were recorded in the past two weeks, said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

With this change, the state currently has 26 red zones, 10 yellow zones, three orange zones and one green zone.

Red zone districts are Betong, Saratok, Tebedu, Lundu, Telang Usan, Song, Sebauh, Bau, Meradong, Asajaya, Tatau, Bukit Mabong, Sri Aman, Pakan, Kanowit, Selangau, Subis, Mukah, Sarikei, Samarahan, Serian, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu.

As for yellow zones, they areTanjung Manis, Julau, Lubok Antu, Dalat, Marudi, Beluru, Limbang, Pusa, Belaga and Lawas.

Kabong district joins Simunjan and Matu as an orange zone after the district recorded 24 locally transmitted cases in the last 14 days.

Daro remains as the sole district classifed as a green zone.

The Health Ministry categorises a district with no Covid-19 cases as a green zone, and over a two-week period, with one to 20 local transmission cases as yellow, 21 to 40 as orange and 41 and more as red.
