KUCHING (June 19): Registration is open for Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital’s Blood Donor Virtual Run event that is happening from now until July 18.
Held in conjunction with World Blood Donor Day 2021 and in collaboration with the National Blood Centre of the Ministry of Health, the 10-kilometre event is aimed at honouring blood donors who are heroes in their own way and to encourage more to come forward to donate blood.
Anyone can take part but runners who donate blood at any blood bank in the country also stand a chance to win various exciting lucky draw prizes, including smartphones.
Participants can run anywhere, be it on a treadmill or outside at the park.
There is a participation fee of RM49, which will give each participant a quick-dry event t-shirt, a finisher medal with printed lanyard and an e-certificate.
