SDMC: Four more localities in Sarawak put under EMCO

KUCHING (June 24): Kampung Sadong Jaya Laut in Asajaya will be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from tomorrow until July 8 to curb the spread of Covid-19.

In announcing this today, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said two other localities in Bintulu had been enforced with the EMCO from yesterday.

“Beverly Hills rent house and Union Engineering’s quarters (Signa Jaya) are currently under the EMCO until July 6,” said SDMC in its daily update.

It added that Sri Minah Timber’s quarters in Bintulu had also been enforced with the same order until July 5.

The EMCO will be lifted from two other localities in Kuching and Lubok Antu today.

They are Kampung Kolong 2 in Kuching and Rh Jarop, Changkol in Lubok Antu.

SDMC said the enforcement of EMCO in five other localities in Kota Samarahan, Sebauh, Bintulu and Tatau had ended yesterday.

They were Kampung Baru in Kota Samarahan, Demong Li’s residence at Mile 8, Jalan Maskat Labang in Sebauh, in Bintulu – Chali Ugok’s residence at Mile 17, Jalan Bintulu-Miri and Block D, G, H, I, O and Q of PPR Bandaria Park and Kem Gabong Trading Sdn Bhd’s workers’ quarters in Tatau.

SDMC added that the EMCO will be lifted from Rh Mambang, Nanga Lingah in Julau tomorrow.
