KUCHING (June 25): Sarawak has tightened travel regulations in light of the recent Covid-19 Delta B.1.617.2 variant cases reported in other states, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
SDMC said that according to the World Health Organisation on Tuesday, 85 nations across the globe had reported cases involving the variant.
“The Ministry of Health has informed that many states and territories have reported cases involving Variant of Concern (VOC) SARS-CoV2.
“The states and territories that have reported local transmissions of Delta B.1.617.2 variant include Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Perlis,” said SDMC in its daily update.
