KUCHING (July 12): Sarawak today recorded 235 new Covid-19 cases along with one fatality, said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
This brought the current cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the state to 69,104 while death toll at 433, the committee added.
SDMC in a statement today said of the new cases recorded today, 10 were detainees at the Miri Prison, one at Sri Aman Prison, and four immigration detention cases in Kuching.
Kuching recorded the highest number of cases at 88 followed by Lundu (26), Miri (22), Sibu (20), Saratok (11), Sarikei (9), Bintulu (7), Selangau (7), Samarahan (6), Subis (6), Dalat (6), Bau (5), Mukah (3), Sri Aman (3), Serian (3), Telang Usan (3), Kapit (2) and Kanowit (2).
There were also six districts which reported only one case namely Meradong, Limbang, Tatau, Song, Matu and Beluru.
