The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro has had a couple of leaks now, revealing its look and some of its features. And now, it looks like its price has leaked as well, at least in the US. And it gives an idea of what it would be like when it becomes available on our shores.
SamMobile reports that marketing slides of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro indicate that it will be priced at US$199 (~RM808). This is as opposed to the Galaxy Buds Live, which launched with a US$169 (~RM686) price tag. In Europe, on the other hand, the Buds Pro will be priced at EUR229, compared to the Buds Live which launched at EUR199.
To put things into perspective, the Galaxy Buds Live launched in Malaysia for RM699, which is pretty close to its US counterpart. On one hand, this might indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will indeed be priced around the RM800 mark when it makes its way here. But on the other, as with anything, it’s difficult to say for certain until the company makes an official announcement.
Such a price tag means the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will be competing against other great TWS buds. And there are a couple within this price segment. This includes the likes of the base version of the Klipsch T5 II and the Sony WF-1000XM3. It remains to be seen if it has what it takes to duke it out with the current strong contenders.
