KOTA KINABALU: State assemblymen (ADUN) and Members of the Parliament (MPs) in Sabah are allowed to cross district with not more than four officers travelling together.

This is one of the latest SOPs issued on Wednesday.

“ADUN and MPs with not more than four officers are allowed to cross districts for official businesses or visiting their constituencies. However, no ceremonies are allowed during the visit,” said Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun in a statement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, students in boarding schools, universities and learning institutions are allowed to stay in their hostels and continue hybrid classes.

Students are allowed to cross districts with permission letter from the schools or learning institutions.

Lecturers, teachers and teaching staff are also allowed to travel inter-district with the Education Ministry’s approval letter.

Masidi also disclosed that mosques and suraus in the state will allow those who have been fully vaccinated to attend Aidiladha prayers during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

He said only  one-third of the prayer halls can be filled with congregants.

“Only those fully vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccines are allowed to join the prayers.

“This is depending on the situation, and also other conditions set by the relevant authorities,” he said.

Meanwhile, animal sacrificial rites in conjunction with Aidiladha are also allowed except in the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) localities.

However, it is still depending on the approval from the state authorities, with the advices of Ministry of Health and National Security Council.
