IPOH: New Perak Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad announced today the portfolios for all the 10 members of the state executive council appointed recently.
“This is a new team. So, there’s no issue of changes or a reshuffle,” he said at a press conference to announce the new line-up here today.
Saarani also announced the appointment of Abd Manap Hashim as special adviser to the menteri besar and Alor Pongsu assemblyman Sham Mat Sahat as his political secretary.
He said that apart from leading the state government, he would also be in charge of the state Islamic religious committee, finance, security, land, natural resources, economic planning and government-linked companies.
Here is the full list of portfolios and 10 exco members in charge:
- Infrastructure, energy, water and public transport – Mohd Zolkafly Harun;
- Industry, investment and corridor development – Shahrul Zaman Yahya;
- Women and family development, social welfare and NGOs – Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin;
- Youth and sports, communications and multimedia – Khairul Shahril Mohamed;
- Education, higher education and human eesources – Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud;
- Plantation, agriculture and food industries – Razman Zakaria
- Health, science, environment and green technology – Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin;
- Rural development, entrepreneurs development and cooperatives – Zainol Fadzi Paharudin;
- Housing, local government and tourism – Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi; and
- Domestic trade and consumer affairs, national integration and civil society – Abdul Yunus Jamahri.
