Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, who has retained the Putrajaya parliamentary seat since its inception in 2004, held his son’s wedding reception in front of the Palace of Justice, Putrajaya today, 20 December. The ceremony started at 11am and ended at about 2pm.
About 10,000 guests attended the wedding reception held at Dataran Putrajaya by “drive-through”.
According to Bernama, a special stage was set up in front of the Palace of Justice where the newly-weds, Tengku Muhammed Hafiz Tengku Adnan and Oceane Cyril Alagia were seated and waved to the guests.
The guests passed-by in their vehicles before taking their food pack at a special tent as they left the place.
The Palace of Justice houses the highest court in Malaysia.

He said that he and his family thanked all the guests who came to the wedding reception.
“The drive-through concept is my father’s idea. He wants my wedding to be celebrated by all the people in Putrajaya as they are also my family as I grew up here,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
On Twitter, however, people have criticised the reception
Among them, Segambut member of Parliament (MP) Hannah Yeoh questioned that how can an MP, who has corruption charges against him, host a reception right at the doorsteps of the highest court in Malaysia.

A netizen, meanwhile, tweeted that this is MP Tengku Adnan’s way of “giving a middle finger” to Malaysia’s judiciary system right after being discharged from corruption charges.

Several others said that it showed how double standard is practised among the political class.

Tengku Adnan, who is also known as Ku Nan, was recently given a discharge not amounting to acquittal in his RM1 million corruption case
The 69-year-old Putrajaya MP was alleged to have received RM1 million from a businessman, who previously pleaded guilty to an alternative count of abetting Ku Nan to allegedly commit the offence.
Ku Nan, who is the former federal territories minister, has another RM2 million corruption case pending before a separate Kuala Lumpur High Court, scheduled to be heard on Monday, 21 December.
