No electricity tariff hike, users to enjoy rebates for first half of 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has announced that the average base tariff rate for electricity will remain unchanged at 39.45 sen per kilowatt hour (kWh) next year.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said there will be a rebate of 2 sen/kWh for all Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) account holders from Jan 1 to June 30, 2021.

He said this would apply to all TNB users, both domestic and non-domestic.
