KUCHING (June 13): A 27-year-old suspect was arrested by the police when drugs believed to be ecstasy and ketamine were found in his possession at around 5.45pm yesterday (June 12).
Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah who confirmed the arrest said the suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine.
“The suspect was stopped for a check at a roadblock at Jalan Airport. Upon further inspection police found the drugs hidden underneath the driver’s seat,” said Ahsmon.
He added that the seized drugs comprising of 1.1 kilogrammes of ecstasy pills and 15 gramme of ketamine is estimated to be worth around RM10,600.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B and Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
