MIRI (June 14): The Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (MDDMC) will engage industrial players from various sectors to become vaccination centres (PPV) here in an ongoing effort to accelerate the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Minister in-charge of MDDMC Datuk Lee Kim Shin in a statement here today said he had been in discussion with the related industry players through Zoom to set up industrial PPVs (PPVIN) here.
“I had been in discussions with the various sectors namely shipping industry, industrial, construction, factory, business, tourism, transport and oil and gas (O&G) sectors.
“So far, the O&G is ready to kick off the PPVIN here and MDDMC had told them to to submit an application to the Covid-19 Immunisation Taskforce (CITF) of Sarawak to get permission,” said Lee.
On another note, Lee reminded the public to continue adhering the Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimise the risk of infection.
