The Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) vaccination centre (PPV) in Shah Alam will be closed for one day today, 13 July

In a statement early this morning, the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) said the PPV had to be closed as one of the workers on duty there tested positive for COVID-19.

“This immediate closure was done after the COVID-19 test result was obtained last night to enable sanitisation to be carried out,” said CITF.

The task force also encouraged those who were at the vaccination centre in the past two weeks to be watchful of symptoms

“As a precaution, the CITF also recommends that those who received their vaccinations at the IDCC between 29 June and 12 July to conduct a self-assessment and if symptomatic, to get tested for COVID-19,” the statement read.

The PPV is slated to reopen tomorrow once sanitisation of the facility has been completed

The CITF added that those scheduled to get vaccinated at IDCC today will be given new appointments as soon as possible.
