I apologise, says TH Properties CEO after expletive-laden viral video

TH Properties Sdn Bhd’s top man Damanhuri Mahmod said his action did not reflect the company’s values.

PETALING JAYA: TH Properties Sdn Bhd’s top man Damanhuri Mahmod has apologised after a video of him using swearwords went viral.

He said his actions did not reflect the company’s values.

“I apologise. We will strive towards a more positive direction in creating a more harmonious work environment at TH Properties,” he said in a statement.

Recently, a three-minute video went viral on social media featuring the CEO of TH Properties uttering vulgar words in English and Bahasa Malaysia several times at a meeting believed to involve the agency’s administrative staff.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Ahmad Marzuk Shaary later said it was just a personal offence committed by the top officer in the company.

Ahmad Marzuk had added that an internal probe was being held to identify the real cause and expressed concern over how it was leaked.

“It was a closed-door meeting and we do not know how it could have leaked. Perhaps, there is something that needs to be investigated thoroughly and comprehensively from the administrative aspect,” the deputy minister added.

TH Properties is involved in property development, construction, project management and facilities management. It is wholly owned by Lembaga Tabung Haji (Pilgrims’ Fund Board).
