EMCO for four localities in Sarawak

KUCHING (June 25): Four localities in Sarawak will be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

SDMC said in its daily update today that Rh Tomy, Buyong Bangat in Betong will be placed under the EMCO from June 26 to July 9, and Rh Awang Sungai Stok in Sarikei from June 26 to July 12.

“Nanga Tada Resettlement Scheme in Kanowit will be put under EMCO from June 27 to July 10 while Rh Wing Tutong, Kampung Gua Sukat in Sri Aman starts from today until July 8,” it said.

SDMC said the EMCO will be lifted from six localities in Sarikei, Lundu, Bintulu and Tatau today.

They are Rh Sigi, Sg Sentebu Sare in Sarikei, Kampung Sebandi Hilir in Lundu, in Bintulu – Rh Belayong Buang, KM22, Jalan Bintulu-Tatau and Rh Fabian Jembu Tangi, Sg Setiam KM37, Jalan Pesisir Kuala Tatau, and in Tatau – Kampung Dagang and Rh Empawi Seriban, Sg Kelawit, Jalan Tatau-Sibu.

The enforcement of the EMCO in two other localities in Tatau, namely Rh Itam Ujok, Sg Kelawit, KM16, Jalan Tatau-Sibu and Rh Fabian Jembu Tangi, Sg Setiam, KM37, Jalan Pesisir Kuala Tatau, ended yesterday.

SDMC added that similar enforcement will also be lifted from Rh Rabong, Sg Lemayong, Bintangor in Meradong tomorrow.
