KUCHING (July 7): The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak have added another 100 slots for its free round-trip taxi service, slated for vaccine recipients here who need transport to the vaccination centres (PPVs).

Stampin MP and Kota Sentosa assemblyman Chong Chieng Jen, who is DAP Sarawak chairman said his side had launched the service last month by providing 100 slots of free rides to the PPVs.

“Today (yesterday), the 100th beneficiary of this service has completed the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Still, in view of the needs and demands from the public, we have decided to add 100 more slots to this free round-trip taxi service,” he said when met yesterday.

Chong expressed his hope that those in need of transport to the PPVs would not miss the opportunity to use this service, funded fully by DAP Sarawak.

To arrange for free transport to the PPVs using DAP Sarawak’s free taxi service programme, call Chong on 017-2288221, his special assistance Michael Kong (013-8199191), Pending assemblywoman Violet Yong (016-8898544) or DAP Kuching Service Centre.

Adding on, Chong thanked the Kuching Division Taxi Association for cooperating with DAP Sarawak in the provision of this free service, meant for those who did not have own transport to go to the PPVs.
