KUCHING (July 14) : Sarawak today recorded 289 new Covid-19 cases, a significant drop from the 472 cases recorded yesterday, while there were four fatalities.
In its Covid-19 update today, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said nearly 50 per cent or 137 of today’s new cases came from Kuching district.
The committee said two of the deaths recorded today were in Serian, while the other two were in Kapit.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases registered in Sarawak now stands at 69,865, while the death toll has risen to 439.
SDMC said today’s new cases included six immigration detainees in Kuching and one immigration detainee in Simunjan detained under Ops Benteng
