KUCHING (June 16): Federal Minister of Works Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has conveyed his gratitude to those who have been praying for his fast recovery, following the positive result of his Covid-19 test on June 10.
In a post on his Facebook page yesterday, the Petra Jaya MP said he had not exhibited any symptom associated with the infection throughout his home quarantine.
“Alhamdulillah, I do not display any symptom associated with Covid-19.
“My oxygen levels using the Oximeter remain good at 97/98.
“I carry out regular workout routines and my appetite is normal.
“I am deeply touched and grateful for all the prayers and well wishes. Alhamdullillah, with Allah SWT’s grace, my condition is stable and (I am) in good health. This is ‘taqdir’ (fate) which I accept it with an open heart.
“May Allah SWT continue to protect all of us and bring us out of this pandemic, which has disrupted and destroyed lives and livelihood in modern times,” he wrote in the post.
Fadillah also expressed his hope for everyone to continue comply fully with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the authorities to curb the spread of Covid-19.
He also called upon the people to register for the vaccination programme.
According to the Works Ministry, Fadillah underwent a routine screening by his office at 10.15am on June 10 and following lab assessment, the results of his samples came back positive for Covid-19.
“The minister would undergo this (screening) from time to time – the earlier test on June 3 came back negative,” said the ministry in a statement released on June 11, adding that Fadillah would observe quarantine at home as advised by the Health Ministry in that he did not exhibit any symptom.
