Covid-19: 270 new cases in Sarawak as Malaysia records 9,105 new cases

KUCHING (July 11): Sarawak’s new Covid-19 cases dropped to 270 over the last 24 hours, bringing its cumulative number of cases to 72,313.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Facebook post said the latest figure now placing the state in ninth place in the country among states reporting new cases.

Malaysia recorded 9,105 new cases today with almost half of the cases recorded in Selangor alone at an alarming 4,682.

Kuala Lumpur also recorded four-digit cases at 1,247 while Negeri Sembilan recorded 541 cases.

New cases were also recorded in Johor with 392 cases, Kedah (382), Pahang (300), Melaka (278), Sabah (271), Penang (243), Perak (207), and Kelantan (150).

Four states also reported less than 100 cases namely Labuan (54), Putrajaya (49), Terengganu (38), and Perlis with only one case.

The cumulative total of positive cases in the country now stands at 836,296.
