KUCHING (June 12): Three Kuching-based companies and an anonymous donor donated various equipment to the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Kolej Rafflesia Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) recently.

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) in a statement said the companies were Jom Pharmacy Sdn Bhd, Sharing Planet Sdn Bhd, and Ori Past Ori (Kuching) Sdn Bhd.

The equipment donated consists of six sets of digital thermometers with stands, six sets of blood pressure checkers, six sets of blood oxygen level (SpO2) monitoring equipment, six sets of weight scales, five wheelchairs and two commode chairs.

Presenting the equipment to the PKRC on behalf of the donors was Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng.

Wee expressed his gratitude to the donors for their donation as the equipment will ensure the operation of the new PKRC runs smoothly, and that the centre can fully utilise them.

“It shows that companies are very supportive and doing good deeds for the public during this
pandemic.

“These companies show a good example of their intention to give back to the society,” MBKS said.
