KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 — Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan today said that the party will not renew the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pakatan Harapan (PH) when it ends on July 31.

In a statement this evening, the Pontian MP said the decision to not prolong the MoU was reached during a meeting that was chaired by Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi earlier this evening.

“The position of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the federal government and Pakatan Harapan that will end on July 31, 2022 will not continue,” he said in a statement that was passed to the media during Umno’s buka puasa event held at the World Trade Centre here.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, and Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan were present at the event.
