KUALA LUMPUR (July 5): A total of 2,618,316 recipients or 8 per cent of the population in Malaysia have received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.
The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) is targeting to fully vaccinate 10 per cent of the population by the middle of this month under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
Dr Adham shared on Twitter that as of yesterday, 9,006,715 doses of vaccine have been administered, with 2,618,316 being the second dose.
“For daily vaccinations, a total of 206,015 doses were administered yesterday involving 127,385 first doses and 78,630 second doses,” he said in his Tweet today.
He said five states recording the highest levels of those completing both doses of the vaccine were Selangor (348,853), Sarawak (299,593), Kuala Lumpur (244,7090), Sabah (233,409), and Kedah (193,575). — Bernama
