Five-year-old Thashan Dubashan has entered the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) as the youngest person to solve a Rubik’s Cube.

And all it took him was just two minutes!

The preschooler from Klang secured the certificate last Tuesday, 11 May, under the watchful eyes of his parents and MBR officials

In a video of the event, Thashan can be seen warming up with a 2x2x2 Rubik’s Cube while his mother sits behind him for support.

For the record, Thashan then solved a standard 3×3×3 cube — a puzzle even regular adults struggle to complete — in a mere 120 seconds

In the video, he hands the finished cube over to the officials with a smile.

The feat is more impressive considering that Thashan was only trained by his mother, Hashaa Devi, for eight days prior to the challenge.
